Looking at the floor of darkness and hearing the loud roaring of thunder indicating an upcoming storm. Feeling the cold breeze of the wind sending goose bumps to my skin and having my hair at the back of my neck stand. I quickly sprint inside my home that is standing in a village at the side of the mountain. After closing the door, I walked towards my room and let myself feel the comfort of my bed and looked around my Mickey Mouse themed room but suddenly, a stinky smell reached my nose. I ignored the weird feeling and I let sleep consume me.
“DOOGSH! DOOGSH!”
A sound of thunder jolted me awake from sleep and I turned my head to the window near my bed to see drops of water sliding through my window pane. But something unusual caught my eye that had me running to the window to look at it closely. There, standing at the front of my neighbor’s home standing a woman with her damp hair sticking to her face covering almost half of it, wearing a damp, rugged clothes staring at my direction with an unknown smirk in her lips. An unsettling feeling course through me and s, I took a step backward from the window not liking what I saw.
“CLAK” the sound of a shattered glass echoed through the whole house.
I slowly and silently walked to the door of my room grasping the knob in my palms, observing any kind of movements from outside. When I felt that everything is clear, I slowly open the door and it made a creaking sound. I slowly walked outside making sure that I won’t make any sound. The loud roaring of thunder and the rain falling on my roof is all that I could hear from the deafening silence that surrounds me. Arriving in the living room, I was shocked to see all my windows have broken down like someone purposely smashed it.
I turned my heels to go back to my room to call for help. “AAAAHHHHH!!” a horrified scream left my mouth when I saw the woman from earlier standing in front of me. I was rooted to the ground while looking at the familiar figure of a woman with her shoulder-length wavy black hair and her pale white skin but, her face is covered with her hair and her head is turned to the ground.
“No…no… It can’t be…” I said with shaky breath.
She suddenly lift up her head revealing half of her face and although, I expected it to be her a gasp still left my mouth making her smile like a devil. Looking at that familiar big brown orbs, eyelashes that could go on forever, her pouty lips and those freckles that covered her cheeks.
“Why are you here?! You’re dead! Why can’t you leave me alone?!” I screamed but, an evil laugh is all that I get in reply. She extended her hand towards me and I shook my head.
“No!!” I screamed and run like a maniac to the front door, the broken glasses that scattered on the living room pierced to the flesh of my feet but I never care. Grasping the door knob I opened it to find it locked so I started banging to the door hoping that somebody will hear me. I shouted for help many times but my pleases goes to silent ears until I can’t hear my own voice, the tiredness consuming me adding her nauseating smell but I fight the dizziness that I was feeling.
“Leave me alone.. please.. Leave me alone!!” I said with my back facing her.
“If only you listen to me when I begged you like this before” an aggressive voice from beside my ear suddenly made me jump. It was her. Jessica, my twin sister who died 3 years ago. She's here to get me. I know it’s my fault that she died but I never mention this to anyone. I made everyone think that she committed suicide. I regretted it. I should’ve helped her but what should I do? I was young back then and I was blinded by jealousy of my parents giving her much attention more than me.
“I’m sorry” I said before everything went black…
