Sometimes All We Need Is Some Magic

Info

It was raining heavily in the middle of the night, thunderstorms were hitting hard and the strong wind was making it difficult for the trees to stand. The road was empty and only nature was making some chaos.

In the midst of this, Max a man in his late 30s was sitting alone under a tree, drenched in water. He was deeply engrossed in his world when suddenly he realized someone sitting next to him.

Max looked to his right and there was a beautiful white colored Unicorn with multi-colored furs flowing due to the cool breeze. He didn't give much heed to it thinking it was just his imagination.

The Appaling Encounter!

“Hi, I am Molly!” The man heard these words, but when he looked around he couldn’t find anyone. “Can’t you hear me?” The man got a little terrified as he could only hear the voice and could not see any person. He looked beside him, and the Unicorn was staring straight at him.

The man gave a weak smile and touched her soft fur to check whether it exists or not. To his surprise, he could feel the Unicorn. However, before he could react to one shock he got another. “What are you doing here all alone, in this stormy night?” Asked the Unicorn.

Max pulled his hand back and started to freak out. He was startled to see a Unicorn and that too a talking one. He could not believe his eyes and ears, he stood hastily and was about to run. At the same time, the Unicorn said, “Hey Max, wait I will not harm you in any way.”

The man got heavily disturbed and sat back at his place, “How on earth do you know my name? In fact, how can you even speak?” Max stuttered. Molly grinned, “I am a bit special, you know.”

The Unusual Tale Of The Unicorn

Taking a comfortable seat, the Unicorn said she was born with a magical horn that has special powers. She could speak, hear, and understand humans.

She continued her story saying "when I was growing up, I gained a deeper knowledge of magic. "I started creating magical potions, my horn helps me make decisions.

Also, I have the ability to know certain details about a person by pointing my horn towards him. Max became dumbfounded listening to Molly’s story.

“So why are you not a piece of breaking news already? why are people unaware of you?” “Oh dear, you ask too many questions don’t you?” she said. “I am just curious”, sighed Max.

Molly said “I want to use my powers to help people. So, I keep myself hidden from the world. If by any chance I fall in the wrong hands, my powers can be used for the destruction of many. I can’t let people use my magical powers for the wrong reasons. You understand right?” Max nodded.

A Helping Horn!

“Come let me take you to my place,” said Molly after her horn emitted a green-colored ray. “Your place? You have a place?” Max asked in amazement. “Err!! So you think I would be staying on roads and performing various sorts of magic? Do I look poor from any angle?" Molly exclaimed flipping her hair.

"Enough, now no more questions just come with me straight away. I will help you.” Molly leads the way to her hut, wagging her tail gracefully. Max did not utter a single question while walking, he was still stunned.

“Tell me what is troubling you for a long time?” Asked Molly once they took their seat on chairs made by branches of trees. “Well, I lost my job recently and my wife whom I loved the most left me for someone else.” Tears rolled down his eyes while he blurted his heart out.

“That’s sad, humans are so complicated I tell you," Said Molly and handed over a tiny bottle to Max. What is this? asked Max.

Try To Believe The Unbelievable!

This is a magic potion, I prepared this using special juices from leaves, stems, and flowers. Also, I added some healing rays of light from my horn to it. Take this now and hunt for new jobs, you will land up with your dream job and that’s my guarantee”, Winked Molly.

“Can’t you see how sad I am?” rebuked Max. “Oh, Lord! Humans crib for every little thing”, muttered Molly to herself. “That’s the reason I’m helping you, dumb fellow”. “You think I believe in some stupid drink?” Said Max, inspecting the little green crystal bottle in his hand.

Molly smirked, “you human beings are just so silly”. “Yeah! And who are the most intelligent creatures on the Universe? Unicorns?” Max teased. Molly raised her eye-brow and her horn threw a red light that depicted anger.

"Fine!" Don’t start behaving like my wife, I will take this if you say”. Molly jumped to celebrate her triumph. “I’m sure it will not disappoint you”, She said. Max gulped the potion quickly and it gave him a jolt inside.

Both of them were now looking outside. They were watching the rising sun and even the sky started to get clear. Max thanked Molly for listening to him all night and left her house made of coloring glasses.

Back To The Real World!

As soon as he reached home, he jumped on his bed and went asleep. He woke up after some hours and went straight to the washroom, to take a shower. While bathing, he vaguely remembered the night earlier, but he could not understand whether it was real or a dream.

"There are no Unicorns on earth and that too with magical powers, how stupid I can be to even think about it. It was just a dream that's it!" Said Max to himself.

Though he was trying hard to not think about the dream. The visuals of the pretty Unicorn kept coming in front of his eyes. Whenever he thought about it, there would be a jolt of happiness inside him. The whole day he kept thinking about the Unicorn as well as went out in search of a job.

While coming out of one interview, he saw an advertisement that stated they were hiring on an urgent basis. The interview was going to be the next day itself and the position was of his interest too. He thought to give it a try as even the package was higher than his last job.

The next day he went for the interview and surprisingly aced it. He was elated like never before as he cracked the interview and got the job that he was longing for. He was this happy after a long time and decided to give a treat to himself by eating his favorite food.

The Moment Of Truth!

That night he decided to go to that place again, to get a clear picture of the incident that took place on a stormy night. As he could not take Molly out of his mind. He wanted to know that was it all for real or a mere fantasy dream?

He reached the place and stepped inside after opening the glass door. The house was empty, there was no one inside, no wooden chairs, or no bottle of potions. “Oh! How foolish of me, I came here all the way because of some stupid dream.” Thought Max.

“That’s not my house you dumbo”. Someone said standing behind Max. Max turned around and exclaimed, “MOLLY! You are real, that was not my dream, all that was real, I got a job because you gave me that drink?”

“Calm down Max!” said Molly. “And don’t call it a drink, it was a MAGICAL potion, it deserves a bit respect”. Max smiled and took Molly in his arms, twirled her around. “You are an angel”, said Max putting her down. “Oh you emotional humans, anyways I am glad you came back”, uttered Molly giving Max a tight hug.

Final Words!

"Sometimes all we want is a magic potion to get things back on track. We may not get a Unicorn to help us but we have ourselves and our loved ones.

The magic may be inside ourselves or maybe in form of some angel-like person. All you need is to keep your hopes alive and move on with your life with a positive attitude."
