The Coldest Storm

A love so dark filled my very being

Through your stormy gaze, I yield unknowing

The innocence I possessed was never truly pure

Because one look from you got me trapped like a lure

Memories from before were stored deep inside me

Where shadows danced and danced while protecting the key

The past was like a haze that I just woke up from

Waiting to be remembered wholly and then some

You looked at me with disgust and disdain

But longing was there, somewhat keeping me sane

I always wondered why but never got to it

All the clues I had; I cannot seem to make them fit

Together we were twisted but sane all at once

So monstrous and vain we had become

But I can never imagine my life not being by your side

Possessing me in every way with all your might

I had my life figured out until you came crashing down

A mess of love and pain while wearing your crown

A king of madness and chaos armed with a passionate kiss

Whilst me being a princess of cold and innocent bliss

Stranded by the force of your very being

Had me cowering and unable of what I should be seeing

Always forgetting that your love was never the smooth kind of sail

It was a whirlwind of madness, the type I should have bailed

All my life I never felt this lost

Until you pushed me to a dark path of a lost cause

Memories rushed back bringing nostalgia caused by pain

Now I know what you sacrificed so that it's me you gain

You became my shield while I was your armor

My weakness to your strength, the oneness we devour

The monster you claim to be along with the chaos that you scream

Is the most angelic of all the devils I’ve seen
