He was there sitting across mine with his head entirely shaved up again. And knowing him, he’s definitely infuriated of how some school policies suck. I knew he was looking to me but I dared not to return the favor because doing so was like allowing myself to trip all over again to that guy. Have I mentioned how his fragrance had not changed yet? Or how strong the smell was? Or how the same smell would defeat my will to move on every time I smell it?
Sitting almost close to him brought me to the time when he meant the world to me while he was busy facing at the opposite direction looking for a tentative world which he could call his. It brought me back to the days I daydream about us under the blanket of cosmos sharing wines we could never afford. It brought me back to the time when we could’ve done the things we want and made special things happen. But all those days are far over. I no longer dream of the what-could-have-beens nor even let them house me.
But even then, he is still my favorite midnight mails, 3 am wines, after school calls and favorite seaside date. He used to be my everything. The best man I died dreaming for with each passing day. For a person like me who’s never endowed with everything she is, he is everything – the very man who taught me that some things are just made to happen and that fate is ill-humored because sometimes it destines two people to meet only to set them apart.
Telling people why you're unhappy is like explaining them the joke. So you either tell them or smile
