Thy New Beginnings: Spread love

Info

As we venture into a new year, it is important that we resonate back on the good things as well as the bad ones and learn where we went wrong. Often, we consider our mistakes to be right even when they are not; we believe we are our best possible critic and overlook the ones we get from the people who would jump into a ditch to protect us. Yes, there are people like that.

There is no point in losing your heart over the most perfect guy who didn’t love you back or the drop dead gorgeous girl who didn’t turn to look at you.

Dear girls, stop chasing the guy who does not think twice before letting you down at every point, stop asking him to go out with you, he will overlook you and walk away. Stop giving your heart to someone who takes no responsibility for it, who does not value it. Instead, give it to someone who treasures it wholeheartedly, someone who loves you more than you love him. Do not ever let him go, even when the guy next door seems more perfect.

Stop judging yourself; you are not a bad person. Stop comparing yourself to the girl he picked, you are equally talented and perfect. You don’t need illusions hampering your sense of judgement.

Perfection is an illusion.

Dear guys, do not afraid to give your heart to the girl who loves you and cannot see you upset. Do not be timid in opening up to her, she deserves to know what secrets you hide. Leave the 'man-pride' aside and let  her in, you do not have to act all manly all the time. It is okay to cry sometimes and vent it all out, you aren't made up of rocks. Do not mess around just because that seems like the perfect solution to all the problems, other people get affected. Believe in yourself and your ideals without breaking, it makes you who you are. Trust others.

Dear people, do not be anxious to try something new instead of being stuck in the same void over and over again. Get out of that sick and low feeling that you experience all the time, which is your doing. Don’t undermine yourself, you are not flawed. Be with family, spend more time with them. They were the ones who stuck by you when no one else did; they helped you out when people left, they brought you up, loved you, nurtured and cared about you, they were the ones who bought you pretty dresses and toys, they taught you how to walk, they dropped you to school on your first day and made you delicious treats, they were the ones who stood on the porch crying when you left for college. Family, parents are the most important people in one’s life, we never understand the pressures they have to go through because of us, we are always busy contemplating our own problems, or even if we do, we completely neglect to acknowledge it. Honor them, love them. They know what is right and wrong for us, always wanting the best.

Believe in yourself the most and you will get excellent results, love the people who love you the same and trust that everything would be okay. It takes time for hearts to heal and what bothers you now wouldn't even matter a few months down the lane.

As we approach the New Year and 2016 comes to an end, let’s take a pledge to make this a better world. Help out people who need you, whether physically or emotionally, even if that means going out of your way and being more cordial to the people who would never be the same way with you. There is too much war in this world; it’s about time we started being good and fair to one another instead of considering ourselves superior. We are all the same flesh and bones when we are born, what we think about ourselves makes us different. Good different is accepted.

New beginnings lie in goodwill and goodness. Happy thoughts, remember? When we were all kids and the only time our heart broke was when we didn’t get enough candy or attention from our parents? How did the same heart get broken by humans? Thinking about ourselves all the time, we forget about the people who actually need us. There are too many individuals out there who do not have the same means and platforms as ourselves and are still living happily and enjoying their days to the fullest, even then, here we sit, sulking our time away. Help them out. We people have more than enough means to last a lifetime, and helping someone out wouldn’t be the worst thing, it would make their lives better and they would dare to dream, much like ourselves. Everyone deserves a fair opportunity. One person can’t change this world, how people think, what they do. All of us have to come together to make this world a better place. A world where there are no wars and people live in harmony, a world where there is no poverty and hunger and people get fair opportunities, a world where suicide isn’t a solution to problems.

At the beginning of this year, let us celebrate all the lovely things and all the lovely people around us. Let us promise ourselves to be happy and help each other out, let us make a commitment to love ourselves the most and treat ourselves right, and love the most wonderful people. Let us find happiness in everything we do because if we pause to look around from our busy lives, we’d find positivity in just about everything. Life is beautiful.

Tomorrow is the first page of a 365 page book. Write a good story. I believe in you.

Happy New Year everybody. I hope you have the most amazing New Year with the ones you love. Be sure to kiss that one special someone at midnight. Stay happy, stay blessed.
