Comrades in war
their stories diverged
One wintry morning and the solace of fire
Wild baboons and the noxious snakes
The path left or the lane right?
The aftermath of a gory battle
Hospital bills added the splurged riches
Kids roamed the broken streets,
hoping to find residual food,
hoping to find balmy sheets.
Was this the World God had bestowed?
Was this the world we had dreamt about for years?
Flesh and the smell of blood
Bullets and the smell of gunpowder
The aftermath of a bomb explosion
Death in the air
Maybe this is what we had established ourselves for
For finally falling so hard
That we cannot look at ourselves in the mirror
For failing at keeping our promsies
To Him
For failing
At being humans
Death and the explosion scarred the tiny
How do you give them excuses?
How do you put them to sleep
And say that tomorrow everything would be better?
How do you lie to them
After destroying everything we worked hard to establish?
I am looking for an answer
And if you find one
Teach people to be grateful and not spread hatred
Teach people to love and be kind
Than start a war
Teach them what happiness is
Teach them about this world
and how we owe everything to it
TEACH THEM
If I told you of all the things I didn't like, would you still stay and love me the same?
53We often forget what the most important aspect of our life is. Spread kindness and peace.
