3:00 p.m.

They say when you truly love someone and they leave you, their thoughts come back to haunt you at night. I don't think so. The emptiness that you feel in the valves of your heart is a mere manifestation of your loneliness and cold at the brink of dawn and dusk, for that's when you feel you need someone, and it's not the someone you think it is, it's just anyone. Nobody wants to be alone at 3:00 a.m. for you feel the need of a warm arm around you, the sound of soft breathing resonating in your ears and it doesn't matter whose it is, for you just need to feel the human touch. The human touch that calms your soul and makes you believe you are here and not lost, alone and forgotten. No, for heaven's sake, that's not love. 

But have you ever experienced, going blank in midst of your work? One moment you are pouring your mind at building a career for yourself and prioritizing your future, and suddenly, your mind goes numb. There are so many people around you but you don't even feel their presence, for your soul has reclined to a callous space deep within your heart, where no other person can touch you, for that space is the reminiscence of the memories you spent with your loved one. You remember their touch upon your skin and how it left a sweet trail of tingles down your arm, your whole body. Or maybe you remember how the corners of their eyes crinkled when they smiled at you trying your best. Or maybe how their hands held you when you fell down and cried. Or maybe how they promised to always be beside you but left you when you needed them the most. And ever so slowly, your tear ducts betray you, and you sob softly for your heart can't take it and time and place stops mattering.

Love is not confined to one person. It revolves around so many. Love Lost is not always a breakup in a relationship, it could be the death of a family member. Love Lost maybe that you drifted apart from your parents because of your life choice or it maybe that the one you love goes away forever because they don't feel the same way. Love is myriad of emotions and people, but so often we associate it with the wrong reasons.
