Am I A Writer Yet?

Info

What makes us a writer?

Is it our penmanship or the brand of our pen?

Is it the texture of the paper or how much it might cost?

Is it how unique we use our words or how deep they should sound?

Is it how long one poem might get, or does it require hundreds of pages?

Is it about having so many books published and stories acknowledged?

Or having so many readers, and positive feedbacks, like being faultless?

No.

No writing is supposed to be perfect. No story, nor poems are even made with happiness alone but with the capability or willingness to be somehow lonesome and isolated even for once like you've crashed into pieces, so you'll perfectly reflect through words.

What makes us a writer, then?

It is how impossible becomes possible.

It is how unreal becomes real.

It is how surreal becomes factual.

It is how fantasy becomes reality.

And it is how you can make those unbelievers become believers.

Because writing is not about the thirst of acknowledgements but the desire of being able to imagine, and to express oneself in an artful manner. It is not about how you touch every words written on a piece of paper but how you touch the readers' heart and emotions. It's not always about the grammar nor the typographical errors, it's not always about how phisically it might look like but it is about how much of your self have you poured upon finishing your masterpiece.

Never did writing became something we only do when we wanted to, but writing indeed, is something almost inevitable. We do write everyday without pens but ourselves, just like how we're battling everyday without swords but words. We dictate our own lives and that's how we write them.

I write everyday,

You write everyday,

She does, too,

He does, too.

We all do.

Therefore, indeed, I am a writer.

'Cause we all are.

=> i totally agree.
a wise man once said:
We don't read and write poetry because it's cute.
We read and write poetry because we are a member of the human race.
Thank you! I admire your works and your words. You are so great! :)
