Do you remember the very first time?

“Whoooooshhhh!!!!”, “Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!” Different ages are screaming everywhere. In front, in the back and on both sides of me. Our ride isn’t starting yet the people are screaming their lungs out. I tried to keep my mind calm as we began to slowly rise up. Higher and higher. From my point, I could see most of the defying rides and the whole park. People are tiny as ants from here. And as we reach the peak, I shut my eyes and refuse to look down. “Wahhhhhhh!!!!”, another shout that embraces my ear as the ride went down vastly.

In the first ten seconds of this ride was probably the scariest time in my life. I will lie if I just said I’m fine. But… Riding this roller coaster will give me mixed emotions. But… the emotion that arises is PAIN. I remembered all those painful memories and tears that I shed.

Do you remember the very first time? The very first time you hold my hand as we faced the highest peak of the ride. We were just so happy, sharing our laughter and shaky voice as we shout from the top of our lungs. These are the small things that I remembered when I ride this roller coaster for the nth time. I remembered those memories that you are still with me, and I am still the girl you’ve always been wanted.

The strong wind pushed my small head against the rubber black seat. My head bangs into the back of my seat multiple times giving me a headache. I could feel every sharp turn and twist because with each turn my head would sway along also. I was scared but at the same time, I loved the feeling. This isn’t so bad. Why was I even afraid in the beginning? I’m starting to like this. I opened my eyes slowly. We went up, down, left, right, upside down and all around. Roller coasters aren’t horrible, they just seem frightening from the outside. This was my first major roller coaster ride and now all I want to do is go on more amazing roller coasters.

After I got off of the roller coaster, I realized that this was one of the best days of my life. I had such an extraordinary time. Of course, everyone has a great time at an amusement park but I have been to the Enchanted Kingdom many times before. Every other time, I only went on what my family called the “baby rides”. There was a time about a couple years ago where I tried something totally crazy and at this time I loved all sorts of rides. This is how I remember it.

Oh no! We’re going too fast. We’re going to crash. Suddenly our ride came to a quick stop. I wasn’t prepared for this. I shot right out of my seat and was falling….

Those three minutes was probably the happiest and saddest part of my life. You are with me with my very first ride. Holding my hand so firmly and hugging my back so tightly. But when I’m about to ride, you left me. You ride the roller coaster with a girl, and that was not me anymore.
