Writer's Note: I wasn't able to upload this exactly on the date itself because of weekend activities, but I'll be uploading the ones I've missed today. This is my fourth entry in a month-long attempt to write (and hopefully finish) a story that will span across the month of February. I will write an entry everyday, continuing from where I left off, and I'm pretty excited about this because I myself don't know how the story will go. I'll be making it as I go along, so I hope you guys enjoy it as well. :)

February 4 | Wednesday
As with every agreement, there are rules and regulations, and I’ve set up three rules for myself in order to make this a fair deal with the universe.
1. I would only talk to her after I’ve seen the three signs
2. I would never look her up online
3. I would never ask anyone about her name
Okay, by now you might be wondering why I’m going through such great lengths in making our encounter sound like something straight out of a movie before it even happens.
The thing is, I am a writer. I’ve always been fascinated with stories of love and wonder, the idea of fate and chance, and as far as I can remember I’ve written about them since my parents bought me my first typewriter as a graduation gift right before I entered high school. It may sound weird since most kids at my age that time would have asked for a new phone or gadget, but for me it was like a dream come true. It’s been 5 years since then, and the old thing still works. Now I prefer to use my laptop for convenience, but every once in a while I would still write down short poems and ideas on that typewriter and stick it on my bedroom wall as a reminder to never stop writing.
But the thing is, I am also a realist.
I limit my dreams and all my beliefs in love and wonder to my writing because I know that those things would never happen in real life. I question almost everything before I would believe in it which may sound annoying, but to me, is necessary beyond explanation. It can be pretty inconvenient when the things you love and the things you believe in are two completely conflicting ideas.
When I saw her that day, I felt time stop for just a second. She reminded me of everything that my words told stories of and I saw flashes of different scenarios that I once wrote playing out in that moment. In a span of 3 fleeting seconds, I saw my writing come to life in the form of her existence.
I’ve never felt anything more surreal.
