Fresh Eyes

So I was out last night, expecting nothing. 
I went around to places I never been. 
I felt things I thought were confusing. 
Yet there were things I thought I have already seen. 

I was wandering downtown looking for something new. 
Someone, basically anything. 
I looked but I thought my chances to find were few. 
I don't know whether to keep on or stop till what I was searching for, come look after me instead. 

I am longing for someone, a stranger,
that would come along. 
Make me feel lost in is eyes. 
Nothing sensual, nothing about love. 
Just a great mind, a different evening. 
Something that would make me think of it the next day, 
His words that would make sense, a conversation we both got lost into.
