Small Petty Feelings

I used to just notice you sleeping at the back corner of the room

And thought to myself how cute you were when you're asleep

Then I noticed your pretty brown eyes that sparkles like thousand fireflies when you smile

You light up the whole room with your dashing sense of humor

You make me lose every confidence I have when you talk to me

And I thought at first this is just a petty feeling I've already felt

But everyday the sun shines at you like a highlighted quote I've loved in a book

Your laugh is all I can ever hear

The world becomes silent but I'm getting mad of the noise in my chest

I thought I was becoming different everyday

You're all I can remember before I fall asleep

And every little thing you do for me is a big deal

This petty emotions all over my chest crumpling it whole is making me weaker and stronger

I never knew love but this time I think I got it right

For the first time I didn't pray for myself to have you

But I prayed every night for you

This isn't blind love; loving you even though I'd never be sure of how you feel

This is real love; loving you still even though I'd never be sure of how you feel

I'd still be grateful no matter what
