The Hard Part

As a man when our hearts are broken we don't heal like the women. Or at least that's what I've heard. Women will heal faster because they go directly to their friends and feel the pain. Where as men tend to try to brush it off only to have severe pain later on. The fact that by the time the pain kicks in, she will have moved on and we will still be stuck.

Women forget but Men carry the pain for the rest of their lives. The world today makes it so. A brokenhearted man, will be the worst kind of man you'll ever meet. Much worse than the douches, assholes, and fuck boys. We go into dangerous waters,  we destroy ourselves.

For the women who read this,

Some of you may disagree, some agree, and some won't care.

For my fellow men,

All I can say is that there is light at the end. We will get through this. We can love again, open up again, and be better.

Right now it sucks and you must do the hardest thing right now.

Feel the pain.

Feel everything, feel the pain of losing someone you loved dearly, feel the anger and sadness that comes with that, and lastly feel and embrace the truth that you need to move on.

Give yourself time, as much as you need to heal. However, don't heal by wallowing in self pity. Heal by working on yourself, improve so that you won't fall so easily. Improve so that you can be stronger and be better than you ever were.

Soon, you will feel the pain subside. You will laugh and thank God for the wonderful experience.

Then and only then,

Will you be free to love again.

Love is a double edged sword and a choice.

Love will either make you or break you.

You have to choose whether to take that risk of breaking to make something even more wonderful.
