Waking up

What is the image that stares back at me in the mirror? So much pessimism and negativity that I don't recognize. The effort and zeal has all but disappeared, what happened to what you once were?
   Where is the fervent drive I used to see whenever you would look back at me? All I see now are eyes glazed over with weariness. Are you saying you'd rather give up? Why would would you do that to yourself? This would all have been for nothing, then.
       Why don't you believe in that song you would listen to anymore? Even if it brings tears to your eyes,it would always have the opposite effect on you. It would make you want to be all that you could be,regardless of who you thought you were right then.
        What do you think you could possibly be capable of if you keep this up? All your doing is disappointing me, dashing away my hopes of imagining a future for you.
              You are so much more than you think. But you really need to get back up,shake yourself off,and walk. Stop crawling. That won't get you anywhere. Look around,do you see that? I do. All around you, birds are flying.
      Don't you want that? To feel the air beneath your wings? To let the wind carry you above the clouds? To let the sun blind you with its brilliant light?
      There's still a chance for you, but you have to take it right now. Don't wait a moment longer. Believe in yourself, I implore you. Let your journey continue. You hold so much promise. And when you finally see it, it'll be illuminating.
