What didn't happen was really not meant

Info

There were days like this, when it is not even anger or dismay
When something's reminding you what it is like back in the day
You were just a kid who happened to meet a bitter taste of what olds do
When they thought they're bold enough to take the existence of you

Promises, yeah those pretty good promises until he eat up all the words
When he first took you to steps and drafts in his timeline dream world
When he gathered all approval like the real thing, as hoped it should
Until finally learning the loneliness in the journey of waiting along the road

Then he tried to take you as if it was a property
Decorated you to color a supposed to be story
He drew pictures of you, created an image of who
But all things clear, there's no way it could be you

At some point, you wanted to believe it can work
Imagine the convenience it could have brought
It was you who felt maybe you can tear down the wall
To somehow let him in and peek what was in the hollow

Maybe the past could have been a thing worth having
A history of differences come clashing to fit the right places
But who knew, it was not you he belongs, neither your soul to embrace
Just an idea of settling down that anyone willing can take the place

You mumbled up courage, worked harder to face betrayals
People blamed you for feeling the hurt and pain surreal
Asking you how valid the wounds you're agonizing
Unheard, leaving you no life at all to explain a single thing

And there were days like this, when it is no longer anguish nor regret
You found peace, what didn't happen was really not meant
But the stories, the dark road and everything you've learned
Made sense to you as you look back, all things fell on its right track, kudos to that

"At some point, you wanted to believe it can work Imagine the convenience it could have brought It was you who felt maybe you can tear down the wall To somehow let him in and peek what was in the hollow" This line... I feel like I would cry so badly I can relate. :( You are so good, so I am following you now.
